Don Hounsell - Director - CA (PP), BA BCom

Don has broad business accounting and audit experience. He started his CA practice in 1987 and during this time wrote software to make the preparation of financial statements more efficient. Combined with other software, this grew into CA systems, which eventually sold its package to 60% of NZ accountants. In 1999 this was sold, but Don has continued an involvement with software on a part-time basis, and is currently a Product Manager with MYOB. Within the practice, Don’s current specialisations include Tax, Accounting and Auditing.

David Allan - Director - BBS, CA(PP), CPA

David worked for 6 years in telecommunications, then has been working in public practice since 1991, including 5 years as a sole practitioner. David has had a certificate of Public Practice since 2000. David’s current specialisations include Tax, Accounting and Business Development.

Jocelyn Hounsell - Director - BA Dip Ed

Jocelyn was a Primary School Teacher for three years, then raised a family of four boys. She has been Practice Manager of Hounsell Accounting for 15 years.
